Approaches

As per Policy 400-15, the R.M. shall provide one access approach at no cost for a new residential subdivision and developments if an access does not already exist and for each quarter of land if an access does not already exist, subject to a request for approach and Council's approval.

An application must be made for an approach to the municipality for any additional access approaches, the cost of additional approach is borne by the land owner and must be built to municipal standards if approved.

Construction of a Road Approach Installed from a Sand Sealed Road

All companies wishing to construct an approach that will be accessed from a sand sealed municipal road in order to construct a well site or equivalent shall adhere to the following:

1. Sand must be placed on the road in front of the approach to minimize damage. Sand will remain there until the rig(s) is no longer required and leaves the site
2. Representatives from each party shall inspect the road before and after each rig move.
3. If damage has occurred the company will restore the road back to its original status.
